Ode to an Ambassador

The Mighty Ambassador
Ode to an Ambassador

Thank you, Ambassador, for taking us culinary places
One burner places, hot plate says
A skillet, a tea kettle, and you, Ambassador
Filled our bellies for a season, too,
three if we're honest
You cooked, honest
One burner, pinching for a kitchen
In the temporary world, you were the savior
Found, Good Will, always, $10 the richer
and us so much more
You're going back now, back for more Good Will,
helping's your fate
a simple hot plate.

—on the occasion of the installation of a very fancy Jenn-Air Range, which will on a certain level never take the place of the used Ambassador hot plate that cooked many many meals prior to the existence of a real kitchen on Campsie Place

New pix of late Fall work on the Campsie place are here!
